Managing Director, Climate
Tia is internationally recognized for her work on climate change. She served 17 years with The Nature Conservancy, including serving as the first director of its global Climate Change Initiative. For her work, she received the Environmental Protection Agency’s Climate Protection Award in 2000. She then served 11 years as executive secretary of the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands, Wisconsin’s oldest state agency, which included a gubernatorial appointment in 2007 as co‐chair of Wisconsin’s Task Force on Global Warming.
Managing Director, Nuclear Policy and Nonproliferation
Tara has over a decade of experience in the National Security field and several years of experience managing complex government programs and supervising teams of talented researchers at both the U.S. State and Treasury departments. She earned a Ph.D. in plasma physics in 2001 and has worked for the U.S. Navy on issues related to Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs) and for the U. S. State Department on Nonproliferation and Arms Control issues.
Andy is a seasoned producer with a passion for visual media and digital culture. Since 2004 he has consulted institutions that use the Internet to engage, inspire, and educate the public. Adams is a pioneer in the field of online arts exhibition and has collaborated with the RISD Museum of Art, the Australian Centre for Photography, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and numerous other organizations. In his spare time he directs FlakPhoto, a digital/arts lab that fosters photographic conversation.
Legal Counsel and Management Associate
David is an experienced attorney with a thorough knowledge of nonprofit administration and climate change issues. Prior to joining Outrider, he worked at Wisconsin’s largest environmental nonprofit ensuring organizational best practices as well as educating the state’s residents about the benefits of renewable energy. He teaches writing and paralegal courses for college students. David is a graduate of The University of Miami School of Law and The University of Miami School of Education.
Frank is founder and chair of Madison Investment Advisors, LLC, of Madison, Wisconsin, a portfolio management firm with additional offices in New York, Toronto and Scottsdale. He is the founder and president of the Outrider Foundation, a Madison-based, globally focused, not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing comprehensive, science-based information on issues affecting the long-term well being of the planet.
